Plans for the new Community Hub
have taken a major step forward
Planning permission has been achieved!!
On Tuesday 5th July 2011 our plans were presented to the NWLDC Planning Committee and they were unanimously approved. In fact many of the councillors who spoke were very complimentary of both the design and the concept of the scheme. This made Front Page news on the Coalville Times, with a picture including Andrew Brigden MP and Councillor Derek Howe - Click Here to see a copy of the front page.
The next step is to finalise the business plan. This will then allow us to confirm the funding and then appoint the contractor.
We still need you views on how you will use the centre to help finalise the detail, so if you haven’t already done so, please complete our individual survey and then also our group survey if that is appropriate to you

Last year we ran the very successful Party in Whitwick Park in September 2011, attended by over 3500 people. Plans are underway to hold the event again in September 2012. If you would like to be part of this village event, book your place now!
